Natasha deibler is a writer and editor living in Brooklyn, New York. She has a degree in creative writing from the University of Iowa and has been published in The Huffington Post, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and many other publications. She also has a background in public relations and public affairs.
I feel like this article could have used a little more, um, “breathe.” But yes, I’ve been blogging for about as long as I have been blogging. I started writing a blog in 2009 when I was living in London. In the summer, I would spend a month in London, then head back to Iowa for the winter. In the spring, I would visit and write about the Iowa Spring Festival season.
I never thought I would become a full-time blogger. I started my blog in the fall of 2009 and I’ve been a part of it ever since. But this past summer I decided to take a break. I didn’t want to commit to blogging full time, but I also didn’t want to just sit there and write. So I thought I would create a blog and just write.
Ive been blogging since 2009. Ive been writing poetry since 1990. I have been a part of the creative writing program at Iowa State University since 2006. I have been a part of the Iowa State Writers’ Workshop since 2005. I have been a part of the Iowa State University Poetry Society since 2008. I love poetry and I love writing. I know, it sounds a lot like a lot of the other bloggers, but it really isn’t.
Well then, I guess it’s a good thing I’m not a poet. It’s just that I just love it.
My blog has been in the making since at least the summer of 2009, and was probably first announced back then. I’ve been blogging the last few months, writing mostly in my own head but occasionally using other people’s. As of late I’m writing about my life, the world, and of course, my poetry. I’ve written about poetry before, but I’ve been writing more about myself and my writing.
In the past I have written about my poetry, my life, my friends, my family, my art, my hobbies, my experiences, my life in general, and a few other things. Ive also written about movies and television, books and music. In the last few years, Ive been writing about a wide variety of subjects. Ive written about movies and television before, but Ive been writing more about myself and my writing.
